Shoalhaven Bushwalkers Web Albums on Flickr Up until the end of 2016 all Shoalhaven Bushwalkers web albums were stored at Picasa - a Google subsidiary. In an effort to make Picasa users migrate to their preferred option - Google Photos - Google discontinued Picasa but still allowed access to the online albums through a very user-unfriendly archive system where albums are stored randomly. This is totally unacceptable, so the club now uses the much more user-friendly Flickr. Shoalhaven Bushwalkers Web Albums in Google Archive - images from over 600 walks from 2001 to 2016. The albums are in random order thanks to Google forcing users from Picasa to Google Photos. Most photos were taken by Brett Davis, but there were also valuable contributions from John Kubale, Alison Smith, Paul Ellis, Colin Taylor, Chris Bellamy, Kynie Evison, Karen Davis, Lynn Ellis, Nicki Beardmore, Ann Holwell, Jim Graham, Warwick Knowles, Ian and Linda Parker, Les Lawrenson, Carol Amphlett, David Wastie and Mary Furness. Some club members also have their own Picasa Web Albums sites where they post images from club walks. These too have been converted to user-unfriendly archive albums that are sorted randomly, but all albums can be accessed - with a lot of effort however. |
