A Day in the Bush with Lillian - by Fiona Wilmot
The weather couldn't have been kinder when the ten of us (only nine walkers though - for the group was diverse in age, from eight months to a grandma) set off from the Georges Yard Area to find the view that overlooks Yarramunmun Creek. No easy feat among the tall trees and bushes. There was a definite feeling of spring around us with the wattle, boronia and "eggs and bacon" all in full bloom.
A crossing of three saddles and three "humps" got us there and whilst Lillian and Daphne explained all the possible walks available from all the angles in view the rest of us, as weekday workers, had to add them to our "List of Walks to Do". Yet another lovely day in the bush! Thanks Lillian!
